the best summer ever; because of you.

My first summer with you, was also the best.
For I learnt how to love, and how love feels like.
I had my first kiss, my first touch, my first hugs.
I learnt that to love someone, you learn to let them go.
I learnt that to love someone, you learn to let yourself go too; for them.

more random post-paper-checking happenings!

more random post-paper-checking happenings!
a) the 415 classroom seems to have turned into a gambling den! [when jingyi's not around, of course =x] every morning/recess/lunch/free block there's bound to be people playing bridge or taiti or some other card game. geeru walked in to my class during recess ytd to ask me for my lit options presentation, saw all the people playing bridge, and immediately she went 'ohh this is an utter gambling den!' hehhh xD i plead guilty; actually that was sort of directed at me since she came in and uhh, noticed the cards in my hand?

played bridge rather well ytd. and for one of the games i had a totally awesome hand. won the bid for 4 no trump; and the next thing i played was 6 sets at one shot, since they were sure win sets. picture there xD
wasn't that just wonderful; 6 sets in my first turn! xD the game was quite an easy win; i took another set later on and my partner took 3 more. after all the burning of cards up there courtesy of me it wasn't really difficult to win already.

but i must say, i win more on luck than anything. i'm still not very good at knowing what cards to play if my cards are just average. as cat told me, i played the wrong suit once and that cost us the game. oops.

b) options are overrr! and the post-eya schedule is...well let's just say it's a whole lot less taxing than options. time to take a little breather from all the late nights spent rushing options presentations etc, then it's off to read more chem/mug chinese!

but i really enjoyed options. pharm chem with ms chun was the best thing ever. a level organic chem, and spdf orbitals and a lot of the things i'd already read up on, plus drug research and how drug trials are held etcetc~ i'm sold; i really want to go into drug research now. forget medicine/genetics; drug research ftw! and i talked to ms chun ytd, about what i should take in uni so i can decide my jc subject combi, and she says drug research needs pure sciences - either pure chem or biochem, not chem engineering like my uncle said, so that means no more phys for the rest of my academic life wheee! dilemma solved(:

and i really don't regret taking my lit option, for all the comics we read and all the deep themes we found; i'm really thinking twice about the opinion that comics are entirely brainless things. they're not. it's up to you to uncover the hidden meanings and themes in them, just like any lit text.

and history. wonderfully fun, with all the videos and whatnots mr mizar prepared for us. haha it's also the bane of my existence up till 4.15am this morning. blehh. was up to 3am writing my essay, then i realised that my group didn't send me anything for our presentation today, so i rushed the whole thing out in the next 1 hour 15 minutes. oh well. not like my sleep cycle hasn't been completely out of whack since goodness knows when, so it's okay.

c) core lessons ended today too. shinyi and i were really getting bored to death during math yesterday haha and this was the result of our boredom.

hehhh passing notes in class is a good way to keep yourself awake, really. but okay okay we shan't do it again. not like there are any more core lessons already, though.
